Could you sing praises while standing in a pile of rubble that was once your home?

“Outside my hotel room in Port au Prince, I heard singing early this morning. It was a small group of faithful souls praising God from the rubble of an earthquake damaged building for God’s most precious gift to them, their lives.

This is why I am here.”
-Tim Traynor, Onsite Grounds & Facilities Coordinator

We honor and salute the indomitable spirit of the Haitian people who continually rise above the direst circumstances, the relentless struggles, repeated natural disasters and wave after wave of national and international bureaucratic disappointments and betrayals to show us all how to approach life as extraordinary, hope-filled, loving human beings.
