These policies may be changed at any time, in which case the revised Privacy Policy will apply to information collected after the date the Privacy Policy is posted. By accessing the Site, you agree that you have read and understand the terms and conditions of this Privacy Policy. This policy is intended for the sole purpose used in this web site and does not supersede the H.I. P.A.A. laws in any manner or form.

Our Commitment to Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. To better protect your privacy, we provide this notice to explain our online information practices and the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used. To make this notice easy to find, we make it available on our homepage and at every point where personally identifiable information may be requested. We encourage you to read this entire Privacy Policy. Other privacy practices may apply to information you provide to us through other channels. ”Personal Identifiable Information” refers to information that allows us to identify you, such as your name, address, zip/postal codes, telephone number, organization name if applicable, e-mail address, etc.

The Information We Collect
This notice applies to all information collected or submitted on the crudem.org website. We only collect Personally Identifiable Information when voluntarily and knowingly submitted by a visitor. You can have general access to our Site without the need to register or provide any personal information. If you choose to make a donation to CFI or purchase an item from the CFI store located on this site, we will collect certain required financial information from you. This information will be collected whether the donation and/or sale is made by the Site, telephone, email or postal mail. The types of Personally Identifiable Information collected by the aforementioned means are: name, address, email address, phone number, Credit/Debit Card information, Personal Check information, etc.

On some pages, you can submit information about other people. For example, you may make a donation in honor of an individual(s) or order a gift online and want it sent directly to the recipient. In such cases, you will need to submit the recipient’s address. In these circumstances, the types of personal information collected are: name, address, phone number, etc.

Online donations are processed by a third-party service provider and you should read the section below entitled “Links and Third Party Web Sites” and familiarize yourself with the privacy terms of all such non-CFI sites before you use them.

The Way We Use Information:
We use the information you provide about yourself when making a donation and/or placing an order only to complete the donation and/or order process. We do not share this information with outside parties except to the extent necessary to complete the transaction.

We use the information you provide about someone else when placing an order only to ship the product and confirm delivery and/or acknowledge the donation made in their honor. We do not share this information with outside parties except to the extent necessary to complete the transaction.

We use return email addresses to answer the email we receive. Such addresses are not used for any other purpose and are not shared with outside parties.

You can register with our Site if you would like to receive email updates, additional information about the activities of CFI, and/or be placed on our mailing list. Information you submit on our Site will not be used for any of these purposes unless you voluntarily complete the required form.

We use non-identifying and aggregate information to better design our Site and to share with advertisers. For example, we may tell an advertiser that X number of individuals visited a certain area of our Site, or that Y number of men and Z number of women filled out our registration form, but we would not disclose anything that could be used to identify those individuals.

We never use or share the Personally Identifiable Information provided to us online in ways unrelated to the ones described above without also providing you an opportunity to opt-out or otherwise prohibit such unrelated uses.

Finally, we will only release information about you if you direct us to do so, if compelled to do so by law or in connection with any government or self-regulatory organization request or investigation. We may also disclose information you provide to us to companies that perform services on our behalf. If such a disclosure is made, we will require such third parties to treat your private information with confidentiality.

Our Commitment to Data Security
To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.

Access by Third Parties
This Policy applies solely to information collected by our Site. The Site contains hyperlinks or “links” to other sites, including access to content, products and services of our affiliated and non-affiliated sites. For example, online donations to CHI are facilitated by our non-affiliated partner, PayPal. When you follow links to make such a donation, you will be linked to PayPal’s web site, which is subject to separate privacy and other terms and conditions. In some cases, these other web sites are made available via “framing technology”, and may appear to be part of our Site. Prior to accessing such other web sites or non-CFI content via the Site, a dialog box will inform you that you are about to leave this Site, and will prompt you for your consent to proceed. We urge you to familiarize yourself with the individual privacy and other terms for each linked or framed site prior to submitting any Personally Identifiable Information.

Our Commitment to Children’s Privacy
Protecting the privacy of the very young is especially important to us. For that reason, we never collect or maintain information at our Site from those we actually know are under 13, and no part of our Site is structured to attract anyone under 13. We comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998 (“COPPA”). COPPA requires that web site operators never knowingly request Personally Identifiable Information from anyone under the age of 13 without requesting verifiable parental consent.

In addition, we recommend that no one under the age of 18 submit Personally Identifiable Information to our Site. In the event that we determine that a user of this Site is under the age of 13, we will not maintain or use his or her personally identifiable information. We will then delete any such Personally Identifiable Information from our records.
