TV Broadcast: CRUDEM Pres. Mike Maron discusses “Water Crisis in Haiti”

This special edition of “Caucus: New Jersey” focuses on regional efforts aimed at improving access to sustainable water and sanitation services for the citizens of Haiti. Haiti lacks sufficient infrastructure and government participation to create widespread organized and systemic change. Nonprofit agencies from around the globe have committed resources to aid in Haiti’s recovery from the 2010 earthquake. Regional efforts include United Water’s creation and installation of a water filtration system for the Holy Name sponsored hospital in Milot, and the development and distribution by an NJIT professor and his team of individual water purification systems for families in rural Haiti. Haitian-American commentator Mildred Antenor offers her perspective on Haitian culture and the recovery process.

Guests include:
Jay Meegoda, Professor & Director of the Geotechnical Testing Lab at NJIT
Robert J. Iacullo, Executive Vice President, United Water
Michael Maron, Holy Name Medical Center President and CEO
Mildred Antenor, Media Commentator, Haitian-American
