HAITI EARTHQUAKE – DISASTER RELIEF UPDATE

_I6A8513January 14, 2010
We were very grateful to hear from our hospital administrator that in spite of some minor damages to buildings, the hospital, staff and volunteers have been unharmed. However some staff members have received reports of relatives that have died and others are still anxiously awaiting news.

The positive news is that the hospital is open, operating and ready to provide care.

We are in a position to take emergency cases and are expecting patients flown in from Port au Prince today.

Hôpital Sacré Coeur will be a triage site for Project Hope and the US Navy may also be sending us patients in the coming days.

We have a volunteer medical team on-site, and several others over the coming weeks. We are doing all in our power to respond to this unprecedented tragedy.

Thanks to you all for your support and prayers.
