Since 1986, Hôpital Sacré Coeur has served the 975,000 people of Northern Haiti with dedication, skill and love. Through full-service medical and public health education outreach programs, over 100,000 people a year receive the treatment and education necessary to stay alive and live productive, hopeful lives.

Hôpital Sacré Coeur’s team of pharmacists fills over 154,000 prescriptions each year. That’s a lot of relief.

BE AN ANGEL OF THE DAY AT HÔPITAL SACRÉ COEUR!
A lot happens in the course of a day at Hôpital Sacré Coeur. Patients arrive at 6 am, many having walked 10 miles or more, to get the medical attention that is in regrettably short supply in Haiti. All day long people stream into the hospital; mothers to deliver their babies, patients visiting one of the many clinics, and others in need of emergency care. In one day and under one roof patients consult with the doctors, complete all of their laboratory tests, return to the doctors for results and receive medications from the pharmacy. A day can mean life or death for those who come seeking care.
Over 50,000 people a year visit the hospital campus and nearly 350 full and part time employees work hard to make sure their healthcare needs are met and the patient is treated with the upmost dignity, respect and compassion. The cost per day of keeping the hospital properly staffed to face whatever medical need walks through the door is $3,616.
There is a Haitian proverb that says “Men anpil chay pa lou” – Many hands make the load lighter. With your generous sponsorship of a day (or more), you ensure that Hôpital Sacré Coeur stands ready to change the lives of hundreds of impoverished Haitians for generations to come.
