MA State Representative Angelo J. Puppolo, Jr. recognizes members of St. Cecilia Parish
State Representative Angelo J. Puppolo, Jr. (D-Springfield, MA) presented Wilbraham, MA resident and CRUDEM President, Dr. Peter J. Kelly with a citation on Friday, June 8, 2010 in the office of the CRUDEM Foundation, which is located at Kelly’s Ludlow ophthalmology office. “I wanted to acknowledge Dr. Kelly for his years of volunteer efforts to better the lives of the people of Haiti especially after the devastating January earthquake,” stated Puppolo. “Dr. Kelly is doing God’s work and we are blessed to have his dedicated and compassionate leadership as president of CRUDEM, which administers Hôpital Sacré Couer in Milot, and through his service in Haiti.” The citation also recognized Kelly’s wife, Linda, for her selfless work on behalf of the Haitian people.
Puppolo requested citations for 20 additional members of St. Cecilia Parish who have traveled at their own expense to Haiti to help with the recovery and a single citation for the parish itself for its unwavering support of its volunteers and the people of Haiti. The additional citations were presented at a special recognition event held later that evening sponsored by the Knights of Columbus St. Cecilia Council 10195. Those honorees included Melanie Dubois, Barbara Foley, Kathy Fuss, Katie Fuss, John and Sandy Gilbertie, Dr. Peter Kelly (there are two Dr. Peter Kellys), Dr. Stephen Kelly, Barbara Kirby, Susan Manseau, , Sr. Mary McCue, Carol McMinn, Dr. Kevin Moriarty, Tim Murray, Jen Nowak, Edward “Ted” Stevenson, Justine Stokowski, Timothy and Anise Traynor and Kate Traynor.
