Loving God of all Creation, we ask your continued blessings upon the generous men and women who work tirelessly to bring health and peaceful happiness to the suffering people of Haiti, especially in Sacréd Heart Hospital. This hospital, which bears the name of your loving and merciful Heart, has become a haven for the sick and a sign of future hope for those burdened with ill health. The health volunteers are surely beautiful carriers of your loving mercy as they offer your unconditional love to those suffering the ravages of poverty, loneliness and ill health, an undying love which you bear to all your people.
With unfailing faith, clear vision and steadfast purpose they truly “Live Jesus” as they walk alongside your Haitian people offering them tangible hope for better lives.
In a very special way we pray for your blessing upon the children of Haiti; may they experience strengthening support and hope in their quest for a better life through the ministries of so many selfless dedicated men and women.
Finally, Lord, may this prayer of St. Francis de Sales be a source of grace for all who offer themselves in meeting the challenges which poverty and natural disasters have visited upon this nation throughout its long history.
I offer you now all the good that I shall do
and I promise to accept for love of you
all the difficulty that I shall meet.
Help me to conduct myself during this day
in a manner most pleasing to you.
