Annie-Claude Theogene

By Michel FitzGérald and Harold Prévil, M.D.

Annie-Claude Theogene is an Assistant Accountant at Hôpital Sacré Coeur of Milot. She did her undergraduate studies at the University of Notre Dame D’Haiti (UNDH), then did an internship from December 2010 to February 2011 at Hôpital Sacré Coeur. Her first choice after graduation was Hôpital Sacré Coeur because it is known, not only for the quality of care it provides for its patients, but also for its exceptional organization. Hôpital Sacré Coeur also gave her the opportunity to apply practically the knowledge she gained in her studies.

The first part of her internship was under the supervision of several managers in various departments such as Accounting and Perception, General Services, Stock and Supervision. The hard work, dedication and skills she showed during this stage were very much appreciated by the hospital.

In June 2011, she was called to work in the accounting department for the program “Laviktwa Sou Kolera” within the hospital. In this program Annie-Claude prepared many official documents including monthly payroll reports and compliance documents.

She was always willing and able to take on new responsibilities including:
• Tracking travelling receipts and associated accounting
• Monitoring newspapers for trends in health including outbreaks
• Verifying and monitoring daily receipts
• Receiving, classifying, and filing vouchers
• Participating in the timely collection of documents

Annie-Claude works five days a week Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. This is an employee full of goodwill; she is flexible, hardworking and determined to give the best of herself to the advancement of the hospital.
