Luna Casséus: An Active Employee

By Abdel Alexis

Since Hôpital Sacré Coeur has been in existence, the very health of the organization has depended on the existence of model employees. These dedicated employees not only are great assets in themselves but they insure the smooth running of the hospital. While the hospital is fortunate to have a number of model employees, one person in particular stands out: Madame Luna Casséus.

Luna started off as an auxiliary nurse in gynecology and now devotes her care to the pediatrics patients. Madame Casséus has worked at Hôpital Sacré Coeur for more than 7 years and has always shown a dependable willingness in the execution of her duties.

Her energy and her desire to serve routinely inspire employees, patients, and visitors. While working in the pediatric clinic, this 53-year old native of Port-Margot is responsible for taking vital signs, filing records on behalf of the physicians, checking appointments, triaging cases and ensuring order and discipline during consultations.

As a mother of two children, Auxiliary Nurse Madame Casséus always works for the well-being of children taken to the hospital for treatment. She personally sees to it that no child goes home without being seen by a doctor.

In the rare times when such a case might threaten, Luna says it is worth standing on her feet beyond her shift time, knocking on doors and contacting administrators to arrange for another doctor to see the remaining children.

In keeping with the Hospital’s mission, Madame Casséus does more than her share to make sure that no child goes without healthcare. Such a model of dedicated and conscientious employees remains a critical key to the hospital’s successful future.
